Alice Mae Gobel Rites Held In Funeral Home - Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mae Gobel were held Wednesday afternoon in the Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial was on the family lot in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the flowers were Kenneth Nunan, Robert Nunan, George Brown, Ollie Brown, Edward Gobel and Vernon Miller. Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. O. C. Alice Mae Gobel Succumbs At 76 - Mrs. Alice Mae Gobel, 76, a resident of Crawfordsville for many years, died early Monday morning. She died in the home of Mrs. Eileen Shahan, 613 Kentucky St., where she had been a patient for the past week. The deceased had been ill for several months. She had formerly resided at 614 E. Jefferson St. She was born May 18, 1884, in Linden. Her parents were John and Mary Clouse Foster. On Dec. 27, 1903, she married William D. Gobel. He died in 1953. She was a member of the Linden Christian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Duetta Brown and Mrs. Lucille Nunan of Crawfordsville; two sons, Jesse Gobel and Morris Gobel of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Kate Norman of Lafayette and 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three children. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Rev. John Servies will preside. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. - thanks to Lena
